There was a time when TV theme songs were as ubiquitous as the work of any major label recording artist. Even if they weren't fans of the show it was from, many listeners were likely familiar with every word of a popular theme. The 1974 recording of Norman Gimbal and Charles Fox's "Happy Days" was used as both the series' closing theme for the first two seasons and the series' opening theme for seasons ten and eleven.
